The study identified the most common approaches to intellectual capital assessment, which need to be adjusted taking into account the specificity of the statistical reporting of the Russian Federation, and also because of the need for detailing certain types of intellectual capital. The authors proposed their own approach to assessing a region\u2019s intellectual capital using a system of indicators based on the calculation of the integral indicator tested on the example of the Russian Federation\u2019s regions.
