He teaches Global Regions   (&#8220;World Regional Geography&#8221;), Contemporary Europe, International   Transportation and Tourism, International Perspectives (study tours to Prague and Berlin),   and Geographic Information Systems.<\/p>\n<p>In his long research he has focused   on international flows of investment (FDI) and tourists, with special   emphasis on transition economies of Europe.   He has recently published in peer reviewed journals including Comparative   Economic Studies, Eastern European Economics, Journal of Business and   Economic Studies, and Journal of Tourism Studies.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Deichmann is a founding member of the   interdisciplinary and International Data Analytics Research Team   (&#8220;DART&#8221;), which in its first five years has published more than ten   articles, including &#8220;Geography matters: Kohonen classification of   determinants of foreign direct investment in transition economies&#8221; in   the Journal of Business Strategies.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s also Editorial Board Member for Regioinal   Science Inquiry, Academic Board and Editor   (peer-reviewed quarterly) for Studia Buuro Analiz Sejmowych (Bureau of   Research).<\/p>\n<p>His most recent publications include (2006-2013):<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Recent   Publications<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Deichmann, J.
